Quest at Latta Nature Preserve

Riggs Ward Design partnered with CMS to create immersive, hands-on exhibits for the 3,200-square-foot Quest at Latta Nature Preserve. The design sparks curiosity through both seeing and doing, engaging visitors of all ages with interactive experiences, live animals, and vibrant visuals that bring local ecology and history to life.

Two striking interactive tables serve as the heart of the space. One illustrates the water cycle with a whimsical cloud and miniature cityscape, while the other models nearby Mountain Island Lake, inviting visitors to explore familiar landscapes and discover new environmental narratives.

The exhibit also features an aquarium of native fish and dedicated habitats for turtles, snakes, and lizards, each tailored to the region’s ecoregions. Dynamic graphics and sleek display design tie the space together, creating a cohesive, engaging environment where visitors can connect directly with the natural world and the site’s unique history.
